Workshop Manager Position Overview

The Workshop Manager plays a pivotal role in the service workshop, overseeing daily operations to ensure high-quality repairs, timely vehicle delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Operations Management
    • Create and implement strategies to optimize service delivery, ensuring seamless execution and minimal downtime.
    • Effectively allocate tasks to technicians, monitoring progress to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
    • Maintain a well-equipped workshop, ensuring the availability of necessary tools, equipment, and infrastructure for efficient operations.
  • Quality Enhancement
    • Ensure adherence to industry-recognized quality standards, driving excellence in every repair.
    • Continuously monitor and improve workshop productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
    • Conduct regular quality checks on completed jobs, guaranteeing the highest level of quality before delivery.
  • Customer Satisfaction
    • Provide prompt resolutions to escalated customer complaints, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain consistently high CSI scores, reflecting a strong focus on customer needs.
    • Foster transparent communication with customers regarding repairs and costs, building trust and loyalty.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and technical training sessions, promoting growth and development within the team.
  • Reporting & Compliance
    • Prepare and share comprehensive service performance reports, providing valuable insights into workshop operations.
    • Ensure strict compliance with industry policies, processes, and statutory regulations, maintaining a culture of integrity and accountability.
    Requirements:
    • Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in an automobile dealership service department, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Prior experience is highly preferred.
