Operations Manager for Video KYC Team

The role involves managing the execution of Amazon Pay Video KYC team & driving KRA with a strong operational risk framework. This requires meeting RBI guidelines applicable to all PPI (Pre-Paid Instrument) license holders.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about leading teams proactively to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of tasks performed by makers and checkers at their dedicated sites or locations.

The successful candidate will ensure verification completed by them meets Amazon standards and guidelines.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Supervising 20+ employees (makers and checkers), handling live operations where decisions must be taken on the spot and actions need to be initiated immediately.
  • Managing staff by delegating roles based on Amazon demand requirements.
  • Managing employee roster and workforce planning.
  • Collaborating with managers to define priorities and operational goals according to Amazon demand requirements.
  • Monitoring employees' productivity/performance, maintaining scorecards, and ensuring regular trainings to improve their productivity.
  • Publishing daily and weekly reports on employee performance metrics to Amazon leadership team.
  • Planning weekly and fortnight reviews with managers and submitting reports to Amazon leadership team.
  • Preparing hiring plans based on demand projections during peak periods, coordinating with managers, and closing staff hiring within desired timelines.
  • Translating established guidelines into daily work practices.
  • Ensuring sites adhere to Amazon's standard SOP, regulatory guidelines, and being prepared for concurrent audits to prevent process breaches.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and following all applicable Amazon policies for securing confidential information.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A graduate with 3-5 years of experience in handling operations in a customer-facing environment.
  • People management experience and handling team is highly desirable.
  • Experience in handling live operations preferred, where decisions must be taken on the spot and actions need to be initiated immediately.
  • Experience in process improvement is preferred, with additional benefits for knowledge of specific methodologies such as Six Sigma.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Any graduation with 3-5 years of experience in managing processes and people.
  • A self-motivated person with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication.

Estimated salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
