Postgraduate Mentor and Leadership Developer

Job Description

As a senior counsellor, you will be responsible for leading a team of mentors, collaborating with subject experts, and providing tailored advice to clients on various aspects of postgraduate education. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing structured mentorship programs that cater to individual students' needs and goals.
  • Conducting one-on-one profile evaluations and advising students on academics, extracurriculars, and application milestones.
  • Coaching students through standardized test preparation and guiding them on subject or curriculum equivalencies.
  • Assisting in the drafting, reviewing, and refining of application essays, personal statements, and recommendation letters.
  • Conducting mock interviews aligned with admissions standards of top universities.

Our ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of program-specific requirements for Master's, PhD, MBA, and other postgraduate degrees. They have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in academic and professional writing. A proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes applications simultaneously while maintaining quality is also essential.

Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's and Master's degree in any discipline (preferably with personal experience of postgraduate study abroad).
  • 3–5 years of experience in postgraduate admissions counseling, higher education advisory, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and lead a team of mentors.
  • Familiarity with global postgraduate application systems and processes.
