Enterprise Mainframe Specialist

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex mainframe applications. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, designing technical solutions, coding in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and Endevor, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirement gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain complex mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and Endevor.
  • Work closely with clients, subject matter experts, and business associates to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and communicate technical solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to contribute to design discussions and assist in implementation.
  • Understand and analyze complex business requirements to translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7–10 years of proven experience as a mainframe designer/developer.
  • Strong development skills in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and Endevor.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum development environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Domain knowledge in banking is an added advantage.
