Enterprise Mainframe and COBOL Professional

This is an opportunity for a seasoned COBOL Developer with in-depth experience in mainframe software development, modernization, and maintenance.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance large-scale enterprise-level IBM Mainframe applications using COBOL programming language.
  • Design, write, modify, and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing tasks.
  • Collaborate extensively with DB2, IMS, and VSAM for data storage and retrieval purposes.
  • Work on CICS transaction processing applications and perform code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimizations.
  • Lead the implementation of mainframe modernization strategies, including integration with distributed systems.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, system architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide ongoing production support, including incident management, root cause analysis, and bug fixes.
  • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and best practices to help them grow professionally.
  • Evaluate compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to team efforts by working collaboratively to achieve project goals.
  • Apply knowledge of database management systems and data structures to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in developing, maintaining, and modernizing IBM Mainframe applications.
  • Expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and batch processing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and communicate complex ideas clearly.
