Job Title: Mainframe Developer

This is a challenging opportunity to work with mainframe applications and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, test, maintain and document mainframe software using COBOL, JCL, DB2 and VSAM languages.
  • Analyze business requirements to create effective technical solutions.
  • Work on coding, debugging, testing and documentation of mainframe systems.
  • Execute batch processing jobs, troubleshoot failures and implement enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business users to resolve issues and improve system performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for mainframe development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS programming languages.
  • Experience with tools like Endevor, SPUFI, File-AID and Xpeditor.
  • Strong understanding of batch processing and mainframe job control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
