We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional who possesses strong design and development skills, with experience in all facets of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying mainframe applications. Strong knowledge in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and Endevor is essential. Good experience in CICS, as well as Agile/Scrum environments, is also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mainframe Development: Utilize strong knowledge in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 to develop and enhance critical mainframe systems.
  • CICS Expertise: Apply good experience in CICS for online transaction processing development and troubleshooting.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Analysis & Design: Possess good analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex requirements and assist the team in creating robust designs.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Full SDLC Engagement: Be involved in all facets of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, designing, coding, testing, and deployment of mainframe applications.
  2. Mainframe Development: Utilize strong knowledge in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 to develop and enhance critical mainframe systems.
  3. CICS Expertise: Apply good experience in CICS for online transaction processing development and troubleshooting.
  4. Version Control: Work effectively with Endevor for source code management and deployment.
  5. Analysis & Design: Possess good analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex requirements and assist the team in creating robust designs.
