Mainframe Architect Role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Architect to join our team. As a Mainframe Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mainframe systems that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: A bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, GDG programming languages.
  • Tools and Technologies: Experienced with tools such as SCLM, Control-M, XD, SAR.
  • AFP Printers: Good knowledge of AFP printers and drivers, including Page Definitions (PageDefs), Page Forms (FormDefs), Fonts, Overlays, Segments.
  • Mainframe Ecosystem: Familiarity with Mobius Indexing, Command Procedures, and Stream Weaver.
  • Content Cloud: Exposure to Content Cloud programming.
  • Elixir and Ricoh AFP Driver/Viewer: Basic knowledge of Elixir and Ricoh AFP Driver/Viewer.
  • Printer Setup and Execution: Understanding of printer setup and execution of reports/letters from various sources in the mainframe ecosystem.
  • ServiceNow Tasks and Incidents: Handle ServiceNow tasks and incidents.
  • Adhoc Email Requests: Respond to Adhoc email requests from internal teams or business users.
  • On-Call Support: Provide 24x7 on-call support for PT & PR* batch jobs related to print and distribution.
  • Z/OS Upgrade Testing: Conduct z/OS upgrade testing.
  • Printer Error Failures: Investigate printer error failures during print test cycles.
