Senior Mainframe and COBOL Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe & COBOL Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level IBM Mainframe applications.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in mainframe technologies such as MF Batch Processing, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS. You will be expected to analyze complex business requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure high system performance and reliability.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned developer to take on a leadership role and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mainframe Development: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL-based applications on IBM Mainframe (z/OS).
  • JCL Scripting: Write, modify, and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing.
  • Data Management: Work extensively with DB2, IMS, and VSAM for data storage and retrieval.
  • CICS Transaction Processing: Develop and maintain CICS transaction processing applications.
  • Performance Tuning: Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimizations.
  • Mainframe Modernization: Develop and implement mainframe modernization strategies, including integration with distributed systems.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
