Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Mainframe and COBOL Professional with over 5 years of experience in developing, maintaining and modernizing large-scale IBM Mainframe applications.

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge in mainframe batch processing, COBOL programming, JCL scripting, DB2 database management and VSAM data storage.

This role requires strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance and maintain COBOL-based applications on IBM Mainframe (z/OS).
  • Create, modify and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing.
  • Work extensively with DB2, IMS and VSAM for data storage and retrieval.
  • Develop and maintain CICS transaction processing applications.
  • Perform code reviews, performance tuning and system optimizations.
  • Develop and implement mainframe modernization strategies, including integration with distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide production support, including incident management, root cause analysis and bug fixes.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
