Lead Primary Model Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Primary Model Developer to oversee the development of our Moody's AXIS model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in actuarial science, mathematics, or engineering, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in US life insurance, specifically in life/annuity actuarial modeling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering various quarterly model changes, including assumption updates, new business setup, and improving model efficiency. They will also perform independent testing and impact quantification and justification, as well as detailed documentation and communication regarding model changes with wider teams.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in actuarial science/math/stats/engineering/computer or equivalent quantitative discipline, with 8-10 years of experience in US life insurance and a minimum of 4-6 years of life/annuity actuarial modeling in Moody's AXIS. The ideal candidate will also have 8-10 actuarial papers cleared.

Essential skills include good knowledge of US Life insurance and specifically Variable Annuity products, excellent technical knowledge of US STAT/GAAP regulations, expertise in Actuarial modeling - Moody's AXIS, and understanding of calculation of AXIS cashflows and reserves on a first principle basis.

Desirable skills include coding and troubleshooting skills in GGY AXIS modelling software, knowledge of Hedging, Asset Liability modelling and derivatives in Moody's AXIS, and good working knowledge of the relevant actuarial concepts and methodologies.
