Senior Compliance Officer

This is a challenging role that involves reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior legal counsel and other departments to safeguard the company's legal interests and maintain required compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Review & Drafting:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, client agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assist in developing standard contract templates and processes.
- Advise on day-to-day issues and concerns with client agreements.
- Compliance Support:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory and legal requirements across various jurisdictions.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Support development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and training materials.
- Provide advice on corporate governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Legal Research & Advisory:
- Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide recommendations on legal risks and compliance matters to internal stakeholders.
- Assist senior legal counsel and legal team in preparing legal opinions and reports.
- General Legal Support:
- Assist with corporate governance matters, including board meeting minutes and regulatory filings.
- Support the legal team with dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal matters as required.
- Handle general legal administrative tasks, including maintaining contract databases and records.
Requirements:
- LLB or equivalent degree.
- 4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house experience.
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Problem-solving skills and detail-oriented.
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of contract laws and commercial agreements.
