Job Title: Senior Manager – Taxation

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our tax operations, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with statutory requirements.

This role involves managing direct and indirect tax compliance, audits and assessments, litigation management, and overseeing the team's work.

Tax Payments & Compliance:

  • Manage payments of TDS, Advance Income Tax & Security Transaction Tax (STT)
  • Verify reports prepared by the team and authorize payments
  • Collate financial data to ensure accuracy and timely statutory compliance

Tax Return Filing & Certification:

  • Validate TDS, Service Tax & STT returns for filing
  • Ensure accuracy of statutory certificates
  • Prepare and coordinate STT return filings as per regulations

Audits & Assessments:

  • Prepare income computation reports and liaise with auditors/consultants
  • Address queries from auditors and tax authorities
  • Support scrutiny cases and attend hearings where required

Litigations & Appeals:

  • Coordinate with consultants for appeals at Tribunal/High Court/Supreme Court
  • Approve statutory fees and ensure documentation of cases

Other Activities:

  • Review and validate regulatory submissions
  • Ensure STT applicability on new securities

  • Strong knowledge of taxation laws and accounting standards
  • Proven experience in financial services with Capital Market exposure
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Leadership skills to build and manage high-performing teams
  • Process-driven, problem-solving mindset with execution focus
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: CA/MBA (Finance) with 8-12 years of relevant experience
  • Desired: LLB or additional qualifications in Capital Markets
