Key Account Manager Role Overview

Kuehne + Nagel is seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to lead and develop commercial customer relationships within their dedicated portfolio of accounts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing customer needs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement tailored account plans to meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers.
  3. Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, including rates and service contracts, to ensure alignment with business unit requirements.
  4. Stay up-to-date with customer business models, decision-making processes, and competitive environments to provide expert advice and guidance.
  5. Monitor and report on monthly performance metrics, including pipeline, wins, losses, and financial performance.
  6. Ensure timely and accurate updates in CRM and CoreLog systems to support sales management processes.
  7. Conduct regular review sessions with assigned customers to discuss continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of industry experience with a proven track record in business development and account management.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in a broad range of vertical topics, including supply chain management.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, drive opportunities to a win, and maintain a competitive nature.
