Lead Data Analyst - Collections Strategy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Analyst to join our team in shaping the collections strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute data-driven analysis to inform operational and product strategy for loan repayment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain collection strategies using internal and external data to maximize recovery rates.
  • Lead a team within the collections department, overseeing staff allocation to ensure efficient workload management.
  • Monitor key repayment metrics, including collections, recoveries, delinquency rates, and auto pay performance, driving vendor strategies to optimize repayment at minimal cost.
  • Optimize performance and efficiency across the customer lifecycle focused on repayment.
  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships and collaborate with Product and Risk teams to drive operational strategies across collections and recoveries.
  • Proactively assess and recommend short-term and long-term repayment and collections strategies using industry and internal trends.

Requirements:

  • Quantitative background in engineering, statistics, math, economics, or business-related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of experience in analyzing data and utilizing database query language (e.g., SQL), analysis, and programming tools such as Python, R, Databricks Analytics.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling ambiguity, and communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Extremely proactive communicator willing to raise flags when necessary and keep team members informed of ongoing risk or fraud activities.
