Lead Regional Growth

We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive the growth of our Ocean & Air product vertical in India.

This is a build-and-scale role where you will shape procurement strategy, pricing, carrier partnerships, and commercial operations from scratch.

You will be responsible for managing a sizeable Ocean/Air P&L and team across America, developing relations with ocean carrier partners, designing, building, and pricing our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of prior Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier or 15+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS Degree.

Key qualifications include strategic vision, ground floor execution, bias to action, process, structure, and data, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, an obsession with client happiness, ability to travel locally, nationally, and internationally, courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it, and the desire to lead, train, and develop up-and-coming talent.

  • Manage a large Ocean/Air P&L and team
  • Develop relations with ocean carrier partners

  • Execute Global Carrier Strategy and Development on Regional Trade Carrier Strategy
  • Procure competitive market rates, design products, and manage yield
  • Respond to tenders and RFQs to secure regional and global customers through your team
  • Manage Market experts in Ocean/Air Freight
  • Support sales and marketing organization with market information, sales leads, and joint sales visit
  • Educate teams with trade-specific market knowledge and trade idiosyncrasies
  • Scale ocean and air freight for the biggest region in Beeontrade
  • Own air growth in India by leading a team of regional Sales and Pricing team to drive business development throughout the region
  • Administer overall pricing strategy for all fixed and spot business, tracking metrics such as conversion and take rate
  • Design scalable air freight solutions to support unique verticals and segments
  • Develop US Export procurement strategy by negotiating contracts, fixed allocations, and monitoring utilization of capacity
  • Administer quality management with IN-US Export carriers driving on-time performance and milestone timeliness
  • Own take rate by managing air freight cost and pricing inputs
  • Be the executive-level POC for all Indian airline relationships
  • Provide commercial support to largest global accounts acting as an executive sponsor
  • Partner with sales organization on global strategic RFQs providing pricing strategy and commercial support
