Key Responsibilities:

As the Marketing Data Steward Lead, you will be part of the Chief Data Office, directly supporting the Global Director of Enterprise & AI Stewardship and Delivery – Engage-to-Consume. This pivotal role partners with global, regional, and business leaders to analyze, document, optimize, and orchestrate enterprise data for marketing and consumer engagement, enabling analytics and AI initiatives.

Leadership & Execution of Stewardship Initiatives:

  • Support execution of an integrated Data & AI stewardship strategy for Marketing and Consumer Engagement.
  • Align stewardship with business priorities; guide leaders on opportunities for data-enabled process improvement.
  • Develop templates and frameworks for capturing complex data design and business process metadata.
  • Build a backlog of data improvements and quick wins for governance councils.

Data Governance, Quality & Metadata Management:

  • Map critical data elements against marketing processes.
  • Collaborate on logical data models supporting marketing and enterprise-wide capabilities.
  • Embed data governance and stewardship into marketing processes.
  • Ensure metadata is captured, curated, and maintained (F.A.I.R. – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).

Enablement of AI/Analytics:

  • Analyze, document, and orchestrate fit-for-purpose data for marketing innovation.
  • Work with data architects, engineers, scientists, and AI teams to prepare data for analytics.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to improve and publish KPI metrics on adoption.

Cross-functional & Regional Collaboration:

  • Orchestrate support for data issues across markets.
  • Manage relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Stay updated on trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Adapt stewardship processes to evolving needs.
  • Support change management, training, and data literacy efforts.

People Management:

Guide and manage Regional Data Stewards to coordinate data stewardship at regional and market levels.

Marketing & Consumer Engagement Scope

  • Lead performance-driving, consumer-led brand building with the right message at the right time, optimized by data and technology.
  • Process areas: Inform with Insights, Plan Engagement Ecosystem, Develop Experiences, Engage Consumers, Convert Across Connected Commerce.
  • Key data objects: Customer, Digital Assets, MRM, Sales, Insights.
  • Platforms: Salesforce, DAM, CDP.

Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field (MBA/Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years in large-scale data management and business transformation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in marketing/consumer engagement data domains (e.g., Customer, Digital Assets, Sales).
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis, architecture, management, quality, AI, or related disciplines.
  • Experience capturing business processes and data requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse technical and non-technical teams in data projects.
  • Familiarity with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, SAP, Microsoft Purview).
  • Experience with Master Data Management (e.g., SAP MDG).
  • Experience in the Consumer Products & Goods industry (preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
