Product Design Academic Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced professional to lead our Product Design academic programs.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing academic programs that align with our institution's mission and vision.
  • They will supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
  • Ongoing evaluation of program curriculum is required to ensure it meets industry standards and stays relevant.
  • Collaboration with other departments within the school and beyond is essential to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  • Student recruitment efforts will be overseen, working closely with the Career advancement service team.
  • Effective planning and management of department resources is crucial for discussion and approvals.
  • Industry experts will be invited to engage with academics through teaching, master classes, conferences/symposiums, and design festivals.
  • A strong understanding of UGC, NAAC, and other processes and documentations is necessary.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Industrial Design is required.
  • Total 15+ years of experience with minimum of 5 years experience in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • A deep understanding of current trends and developments in Industrial Design is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
