Business Development Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Expert to play a crucial role in achieving our revenue and cost goals. The primary responsibility will be to build and write proposals that effectively address client needs and present solutions for their business problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative solutions for clients to achieve defined revenue and cost goals.
  • Build and write proposals with minimum support from senior team members, incorporating requirement gathering during client briefings, formulation of winning research solutions, designing commercial frameworks, and effective presentation of solutions and offers.
  • Participate in tasks related to business development with the support of senior colleagues, participate in marketing outreach programs, initiate and support in developing industry/capability decks, white papers, thought papers, articles, case studies, etc., to support business development.
  • Lead the development of a team of senior analysts, analysts, and associates specialized in offering techno-commercial research & advisory services in chemicals & materials domain, ensuring the nurture and recruitment of team members as needed.
  • Handle all client communication, including client queries, kick-off calls, deliverable presentations, feedback calls, etc.
  • Articulate and facilitate technical, business, and analytical discussions through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Develop strong analytical mindsets and technical backgrounds to generate insights and actionable recommendations for clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in chemical & material or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • OR bachelor's in chemical/polymer science/metallurgy/industrial and MBA.
  • Minimum six years of experience in business research or consulting type engagements.
  • Primary research experience, ability to train team members, and improve primary research skills (preferred experience would be for primary research for pricing & cost analysis).
  • Rich experience in end-to-end management of business research or consulting engagements, up-to-date with recent industry happenings, and aware of latest trends like sustainability, biomaterials, carbon neutrality, resource optimization, circular economy, and digitization.
  • Past and current experience handling teams of qualified professionals.
  • Excellent knowledge of Market Analysis, Business Analysis, Technology Analysis, Competitor Intelligence, Management Frameworks, Advanced MS Office, Forecasting, and Business Writing.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management in an effective, proactive manner.
  • Self-organized, planned, matured, and detail-oriented.
