Pricing Engineer Job Description

Our company seeks a skilled Pricing Engineer to play a key part in driving our vision without compromise, as we strive to make a lasting impact on the world.

About the Role

The Pricing Engineer will review pricing requests from Sales teams, estimate assembly/adder price and provide quote, costing estimate for projects and drive continuous improvement on metrics. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing project costing before the bid stage, validating GP margins, and providing what if analysis on breakeven and targeted profit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project costing before the bid stage to understand order feasibility.
  • Validate GP margins and provide what if analysis on breakeven and targeted profit.
  • Analyse variances between costed and actual GP, rework cost process to reduce variances and provide accurate cost estimations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Validate requests from sales, create BOM and estimate pricing.
  • Provide technical guidance for best price quotes by analyzing product structure and manufacturing techniques and choosing the best option.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and procurement team for best cost solutions.
  • Work with manufacturing and quality team to estimate cost for special requirements.
  • Establish good relationship & closer coordination with Sales / application, Product engineers, Procurement team, Industry teams and Sales.
  • Work with different manufacturing facility within MEA region.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Pricing Engineer who has strong analytical skills and can understand Fisher products and processing. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering and experience in highly mechanical/design/technology focused roles.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in highly mechanical/design/technology focused roles.
  • Minimum 1-2 years Overall experience.
  • 1 year experience in control valves (Sales & Application, Order Engineering, Pricing/Costing).
  • General understanding on the quote to cash processes.
  • Mechanical/technical drawing interpretations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Order Engineering/Special Pricing experience in Fisher control valves would be an added advantage.
