As a strategic pricing professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our ocean freight pricing strategy. Your expertise in ocean freight pricing, sales support, and business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry is essential to drive revenue and margin goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop competitive ocean freight pricing strategies that align with revenue and margin objectives.
  • Stay updated on global trade dynamics, market rates, currency fluctuations, and geopolitical developments affecting ocean freight costs.
  • Monitor buy/sell rates and ensure pricing remains competitive across key trade lanes, considering profitability and customer expectations.
  • Optimize pricing decisions using in-depth knowledge of major trade lanes, carrier offerings, shipping routes, and transportation networks.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking of competitor pricing strategies to identify market trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to prepare quotes, spot rates, and contract pricing for customers in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with carriers, overseas agents, and internal operations teams to gather inputs and maintain updated pricing databases.
  • Generate pricing performance reports and provide insights to senior leadership.

The successful candidate will be driven by their ability to analyze data, think strategically, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. We are seeking a professional with a strong understanding of global freight forwarding operations and pricing mechanisms, as well as proficiency in MS Excel and CRM systems.

You must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and have 4-9 years of relevant experience in ocean freight pricing within a freight forwarding or logistics organization.
