About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, enhancing brand image, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. They will plan and prioritize personal sales activities, manage customer/prospect relationships, and optimize quality of service and business growth.

  • Develop and maintain cordial relationships with key stakeholders, including ancillary equipment manufacturers, raw material suppliers, project consultants, opinion builders, and dignitaries from various trade and industry associations.
  • Stay up-to-date with market intelligence by gathering information on major events, executive changes, product developments, pricing strategies, and new polymer producing capacities coming up in the region.
  • Prioritize regular courtesy visits to existing customers, competitors' customers, lost prospects, opinion builders, and other key industry players to foster strong relationships and identify potential business opportunities.
Responsibilities

The Senior Sales Professional will be accountable for:

  • 100% retention of existing customers in the assigned region.
  • Liaising with customers and coordinating with the service department for all after-sales-service requirements.
  • Planning and executing courtesy calls, one-to-one sales activities, and meeting agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix, and timescales.
  • Responding promptly to sales enquiries, converting them into profitable business opportunities, and collecting advance and balance payments.
  • Maintaining accurate computerized contact details databases for customers, prospects, enquiries, and leads, and updating relevant information as required.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong background in sales, preferably with experience in the plastics industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and competitor activity.
