Senior Academic Advisor

As a senior academic advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journeys of ambitious students from around the world.

You will oversee and support students through the entire undergraduate admissions process, from onboarding to final university decisions.

Guiding students in developing strong academic and extracurricular profiles is key to their success.

You'll strategize personalized student journeys by advising on subject selection, standardized testing, university shortlisting, and long-term academic planning.

Reviewing and providing detailed feedback on all application components is crucial for ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Managing and mentoring a team of advisors ensures consistency, timely communication, and adherence to admissions timelines.

Collaborating with internal teams to align strategy and execution for each student is vital to their success.

Organizing internal trainings, case reviews, and brainstorming sessions strengthens team capabilities.

Providing expert guidance on U.S., U.K., and Canadian admissions platforms is essential.

Advising families on academic equivalencies, scholarship opportunities, interview preparation, and offer comparisons adds value to the student experience.

Maintaining clear communication with students and parents provides regular progress updates and ensures client satisfaction.

Tracking and documenting student milestones ensures timely completion of deliverables and a smooth admissions process.

Sharing insights and feedback with leadership supports operational improvements and elevates the overall student experience.

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in any discipline (preferably from or with experience studying in the U.S., U.K., or Canada).
  • 2–4 years of experience in academic counseling, university admissions, or education advisory roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in academic and admissions writing.
  • Proven organizational and multitasking abilities, with the confidence to manage multiple high-stakes student timelines.
  • Empathetic, detail-oriented, and proactive—able to build trust with students and families and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Collaborative mindset; comfortable working cross-functionally with mentors, editors, and academic leads.
  • Familiarity with undergraduate/postgraduate platforms such as Common App, UCAS, and OUAC is strongly preferred.
  • A passion for education, student growth, and lifelong learning.
