Job Description:

In this key leadership role, you will spearhead quality assurance strategies across R&D and pilot stages to ensure scalable product designs meet customer requirements.

You will oversee developmental Quality Assurance functions, driving efficiency and effectiveness through robust stage gate systems. Your expertise in crystallization principles and techniques will be pivotal in delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality systems for new products at R&D and Pilot stages to ensure right-first-time quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments, DOE, and hypothesis studies.
  • Establish protocols for experiments, develop processes, and evaluate performance between R&D and Pilot plants.
  • Play a crucial role in technology transfer from R&D to Pilot plants and sites, ensuring seamless QA-technical transfer.
  • Manage budgets, talent acquisition and retention, and drive compliance with SOPs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver in-depth knowledge of crystallization principles, techniques, and equipment, including batch and continuous crystallization methods.
  • Analyze and improve material flowability and free-flow characteristics of APIs/ingredients.
  • Implement particle size engineering strategies, including micronization, granulation, and agglomeration.
  • Conduct advanced physical characterization of APIs, ingredients, and set up processes for material evaluation using SEM, TEM, XRD, DLS, and laser diffraction.
  • Define process conditions, including RH for Hygroscopic materials handling, packing configuration, and storage conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • M.Sc/M.Pharma Chemistry degree
  • 16-24 years of experience in API/Intermediate/Fine chemical Industry
