Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SQL Servers, with expertise in installation, upgrade, migration, patching, and configuration.

The selected individual will be responsible for setting up automated alerts, troubleshooting locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts, and resolving them. Additionally, they will work on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets, as well as deploy database objects to various environments.

The Database Administrator will also collaborate with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform performance tuning and identify root causes of production problems.

In this role, you will have hands-on experience with Always On and DB Mirroring, execute database schema changes, and maintain a controlled development environment. You will also be willing to work in 24X7 projects and have experience with scripting using Perl, PowerShell, and cloud-based solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in SQL Server installations, upgrades, migrations, patches, and configurations
  • Ability to troubleshoot locking issues and resolve them
  • Experience with deployment of database objects to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production environments
  • Collaboration with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Performance tuning and identification of root causes of production problems
  • Hands-on experience with Always On and DB Mirroring
  • Scripting using Perl, PowerShell, and cloud-based solutions
