About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Sales Development Manager to join our team in Mumbai, India.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling specialty food ingredients to food manufacturing companies across West India. Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets, implementing effective marketing strategies, and providing valuable market insights to support decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
- Promote and sell specialty food ingredients to food manufacturers in key applications such as bakery, dairy, confectionery, beverages, and nutraceuticals.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities by engaging with potential customers and identifying new business prospects.
- Maintain and update CRM records, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to keep the market strategy relevant and competitive.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with commercial and development teams at customer organizations to support collaboration and business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Food Technology (B.Tech/M.Tech) with 8-10 years of proven techno-commercial experience in food ingredients sales to the Food & Nutrition industry.
- Demonstrated success in value-based selling, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to influence decision-making processes effectively.
- Strong commercial, marketing, and technical knowledge with the ability to align solutions with customer needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective client engagement and internal collaboration.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively to support business development efforts.
Salary Range: ₹15 Lakh - ₹20 Lakh per annum
