Job Title: Cost Optimization Engineer

Job Description:

The Cost Optimization Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering cost-effective engineering solutions. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for cost reduction and implementing measures to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost-down initiatives to meet or exceed annual targets.
  • Design and execute project plans, incorporating mechanisms to track progress, analyze risks, and update plans as necessary.
  • Optimize product designs to reduce costs while maintaining performance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of projects and managing expectations.
  • Partner with global team leaders to contribute to the development of value-engineering strategies.
  • Conduct workshops with internal and external stakeholders to generate innovative ideas for cost reduction.
  • Apply Value Engineering and Design-to-Cost methodologies to create technical solutions that meet product requirements.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  • 4-10 years of experience in automatic transmissions, E-mobility device design, and value-engineering activities, including project management.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics and mechanical components, including automotive inverters, electric motors, batteries, and E-mobility devices.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices for automotive electronic parts.
  • A commitment to excellence and personal growth.
