Senior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
  • We co-create and track transformation initiatives aligned with the functional strategy.
  • We support the Functional Leadership team to enhance processes and achieve functional excellence.
  • We provide financial reporting that is insightful and actionable for the functional leadership.
  • We manage business risks and opportunities to deliver optimal financial outcomes.
  • We initiate and participate in projects to improve functional performance.
  • We conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
Main Accountabilities:
  • We are responsible for analyzing the functional P&L and relevant B/S accounts.
  • We review and monitor functional cost development, including operations, one-offs, and projects.
  • We manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes (month-end closing, quarterly forecast, annual budget).
  • We analyze actuals vs budget on a monthly basis, track transformation initiatives savings.
  • We collaborate with accounting and other finance departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • We implement and maintain robust SOX and internal controls to ensure timely cost recognition.
  • We work with the tax team on fiscal matters related to overhead cost sharing or projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant/Cost & Management Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a reputable business school with relevant experience.
  • 5 – 8 years of experience in financial analyst / controlling functions.
  • A keen interest in working in the chemical manufacturing industry with a global multi-national organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), Business Warehouse, PowerBi.
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work in a demanding environment within an international context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm driver, analytical, and fact-based.
