The Assistant Relationship Manager is a crucial role in the Sales Department, accountable for driving business performance and achieving exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and recruit a sufficient number of Field Promotion Officers/Whole Market Captains and Sales Managers for Field Promotion Units in the region.
- Meet sales targets on issued Five-Year Plans as per informed budgets.
- Implement needs-based selling and activity management processes among the teams managed.
- Support business planning and implementation for the business with the Sales Manager.
- Assist geographical expansion initiatives as planned and advised from time to time.
- Submit required reports within specified timelines.
- Review progress with the Sales Manager at agreed intervals.
- Drive benchmark consistency across the region.
- Monitor and evaluate achievement of targets against the following parameters:
- Issued Five-Year Plans,
- Productivity per Field Promotion Officer,
- Productivity per Sales Manager Team,
- Case rate,
- Average Case Size,
- Activity Ratio,
- Attrition.
- Oversee resources and budget allocation for the Region.
- Plan resource budgeting for the region.
- Liaise with Zonal/Head Office for budgetary requirements.
- Own regional marketing plans and promotions.
- Enable high-performance standards by aligning team goals with organizational objectives communicated from time to time.
- Ensure clear communication of overall strategies and drive ownership of goals and objectives.
- Develop competencies of Sales Managers.
- Observe and demonstrate skills and knowledge with Sales Managers.
- Implement training roadmaps and ensure timely onboarding training for inducted Field Promotion Officers.
- Review selling arrangements in the Region.
- Ensure adequate focus on the business.
- Ensure all customers are serviced to expected standards in the Region.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout the Region.
- Conform to all financial and administrative systems.
- Ensure compliance with TALIC norms for Branches in the Region.
- Comply with all statutory and regulatory norms in the Region.
- Own-up function risks by developing a risk-aware culture through participation in measurement, analysis, and mitigation of associated risks. This includes development of risk response processes, participation in contingency and business continuity programs, and reporting of emerging risks with potential impacts. Also respond to highlighted risks through formal/informal mechanisms and advise on various risk management issues within the organization, providing feedback. Participate in implementing risk mitigation plans through optimal resource allocation, monitoring, and reporting on status.
