Production Manager Job Description

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all bakery production operations to ensure efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

  • Manage production schedules, coordinate with procurement and sales teams, lead a team of bakers and production staff, and implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure overall smooth operations of the central kitchen, employees, facilities, and costs to achieve optimal dispatch.
  • Control cost of operations on an ongoing basis and maintain inventory levels for raw material and finished products.
  • Deliver high-quality products in the forecasted quantity as per SKU's and ensure delighted guest experience.
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene at all times and establish effective employee relations.
  • Hire specific levels of employees, provide employee orientation, coaching, conduct formal on-the-job training sessions for kitchen employees, and perform special projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

  • Hotel Management graduation with minimum 18 years of experience and minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership role.
  • Pleasant personality, excellent communication skills, ability to manage teams, planning, organizing, analytical, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in pastry and bakery techniques, mass-producing standardized products.

Responsibilities and Requirements

This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, along with the ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques, as well as experience in managing teams and controlling costs.

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a hotel management graduation, at least 18 years of experience, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership role. You should also have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage teams, and a pleasant personality.
