Culinary Team Lead

This is a key leadership role in our culinary team, where the Senior Chef will be responsible for guiding and directing their direct reports to achieve exceptional results.
The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on food quality and knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Directs, coaches, and supports all direct reports, ensuring they have the necessary tools and training to succeed.
- Coordinates and supervises team members, assigning and delegating tasks as needed.
- Undertakes daily recipe reviews, maintaining recipe folders in impeccable condition.
- Responsible for follow-through on requests from direct supervisors or managers, including show plates, food samples, and random food tastings.
- Monitors production levels, recommending ideas for improvements and cost control measures.
Maintaining high standards of public health and safety, this role ensures compliance with regulations while overseeing main kitchen sections and their entire food production.
Requirements and Qualifications:- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service, with at least 2 years as a Chef Tournant (shipboard experience preferred).
- A culinary school degree is required, along with strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as superior customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
