Job Title

A strategic procurement professional with a focus on tactical purchasing is required to join our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring material availability at isolation valve plants by implementing processes that achieve 95% request date service level, exception management, and 95% purchase requisition to purchase order within turnaround time. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent digital literacy, and experience working with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract open PO reports and convert PR to PO
  • Collaborate with suppliers for PO acknowledgement and confirmations
  • Update ERP with confirmation dates
  • Communicate with the plant on specific queries related to PO
  • Check supply/demand and decide items for release to replenish stock
  • Implement exception messages in SAP, Oracle, and plant ERP (expedite, defer, etc)
  • Liaise with suppliers for deliveries, maintain promise dates, and order confirmations
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders including category managers, production & inventory control manager, and value stream managers for material availability
  • Lead supplier relationship management process with internal and external suppliers in collaboration with SPE and category leaders to improve supplier RDSL
  • Collaborate with finance for supplier on-time payment
  • Complete material master setup and associated activities
  • Requisition to PO conversion for MRO items
  • Validate supplier lead times based on lead times for delivery
  • Coordinate material master data audits in the ERP
  • Communicate with plant/site buyers on actions and resolutions
  • Support team to prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management reports for customers and suppliers
  • Raise supplier delivery issues to PIC manager and planning team
  • Stay up-to-date on parked/blocked invoice report and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in purchasing/procurement/supply chain or casting, forging, machining
  • Knowledge in strategic sourcing methodology, supply chain management, contracting, procurement, and supplier management skill
  • Experience working with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
  • Excellent digital literacy and technical proficiency, including significant data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting for the supply chain organization
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and management (advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, PowerPoint, SQL)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain management, engineering, business management, or any related field
  • Experience in project management and project management certification are an added advantage
