Job Title

Oracle Technical Specialist

This role is a hybrid position, requiring the individual to work at least three days a week in an office.

We are seeking a talented Oracle technical specialist with experience in Oracle Application Modules Revenue Management & Billing, Payables, Receivables, General Ledger and iExpenses & iProcurement. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of PL/SQL and Unix Shell Script, as well as experience in developing and customizing Oracle XML Publisher Reports, Bursting, Forms. Additionally, the successful candidate will have expertise in other programming languages such as Java and Python, and secure software development life cycle practices.

The selected professional will be responsible for translating business requirements into application code, documenting application specifications, performing code reviews and aligning solutions to architectural specifications. They will also work with business analysts, Scrum masters, product owners, and other cross-functional resources to provide technical support and guidance. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to multitask and liaise with multiple stakeholders, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to build professional relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop efficient methods to reuse existing components
  • Collaborate with development team members to ensure proper implementation and deployment of solutions
  • Determine how existing applications integrate to meet new enterprise requirements
  • Design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications
  • Prepare Oracle Functional, Technical Design documents and Unit test documents for related areas

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in IT as a software developer
  • Knowledge in Oracle Application Modules Revenue Management & Billing, Payables, Receivables, General Ledger and iExpenses & iProcurement
  • Experience in developing and customizing Oracle XML Publisher Reports, Bursting, Forms
  • Expertise in other programming languages e.g. Java, Python (preferred)
  • Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) practices
  • Experience in various project methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Waterfall, RUP, Scrum and Agile)
