Database Migration Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead end-to-end database migrations across various environments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire migration lifecycle, from assessment and planning to execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead database migration projects in Oracle Exadata, ExaCC, AWS, and Azure environments.
  • Develop and implement migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure seamless delivery and minimal downtime.
  • Plan, design, and execute database migrations, including data center-to-data center, cloud-to-cloud, and hybrid scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migrations and meet business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in Oracle Database administration, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Data Guard setup, switchover, failover, and role transitions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Recovery Vaults).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
