Revenue Recognition Senior Associate Job Description

The Revenue Recognition Senior Associate is a key member of our revenue recognition team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring revenue recognition meets the highest standards of accounting excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed contract reviews to guarantee revenue recognition adheres to applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts, maintaining precise records.
  • Support quarterly and annual external audits by preparing comprehensive documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal relationships with various departments, including Operations, General Ledger Accounting, and IT.
  • Provide timely revenue analysis and reporting as needed, leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Take ownership of special projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to success.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Effective project management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Workday a plus.
