Revenue Accountant

This is a highly specialized role where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of revenue accounting. The ideal candidate will have experience in recognizing revenue in compliance with ASC 606/IFRS 15 and will be able to analyze complex customer contracts.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing customer contracts to ensure accurate recognition of revenue in compliance with ASC 606/IFRS 15
  • Collaborating with sales, legal, and FP&A teams to prepare revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Monitoring changes in accounting standards and advising on implications for revenue recognition
  • Supporting external audits and internal controls by providing documentation and insights into revenue processes

To succeed in this challenging role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition, preferably in a SaaS, technology, or services environment
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606/IFRS 15 and practical application in complex contract scenarios
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, and revenue sub-ledgers or modules
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations); experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and sales teams
