Design Engineer Role:

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to fill a challenging position. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and updating 2D drawings and 3D models for piping, outfitting, and machinery systems.

In this role, you will:
  1. Prepare and update accurate engineering drawings (GA, piping/isometric drawings, equipment foundations, etc.).
  2. Convert concept sketches and engineering inputs into detailed engineering drawings.
  3. Ensure drawings meet standards, class rules, and project requirements.
  4. Support the preparation of material take-offs (MTOs), bill of materials (BOMs), and assembly drawings.
  5. Coordinate with design engineers, naval architects, and production teams to resolve drawing-related queries.
  6. Review and check drawings for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with standards.
  7. Maintain drawing records, revisions, and document control in line with project requirements.
  8. Provide technical support during construction and installation stages.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  1. Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture.
  2. 36 years of drafting/design experience in shipbuilding, offshore.
  3. Proficiency in design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Cadmatic, Rhino, AVEVA or similar tools).
  4. Strong understanding of requirements for ship/offshore piping, and outfitting drawings.
  5. Knowledge of classification society rules and marine industry standards.
  6. Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a team.
