The Opportunity

Nutanix is seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead the growth of our Government vertical in Delhi, India. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling Nutanix products and solutions through channel partners and interacting directly with government customers in India, particularly public sector undertakings, state government entities, and central government departments.

You will work closely with a sales engineer in the territory to develop and execute a sales strategy that drives revenue growth and expands our presence in the government sector. To succeed in this role, you will need a deep understanding of the government segment, including partners, consultants, and the business landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a sales strategy to expand our presence in the government sector
  • Building and maintaining relationships with government customers and channel partners
  • Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in the government sector
  • Collaborating with sales engineers to develop and deliver sales solutions to government customers
  • Providing sales support and training to channel partners

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 15+ years of government sales experience
  • Strong understanding of the government segment, including partners, consultants, and the business landscape
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in contiguous, multiple years
  • Experience selling server/storage/virtualization solutions in the past
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
