Procurement Professional Job Description

This role involves managing all procurement activities related to software and contracting. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-qualifying suppliers, tender management, negotiation, and closure of contracts to achieve optimal total cost of ownership.

  • The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in procurement, preferably as a leading software procurement specialist.
  • They should be able to execute and achieve the procurement strategy within the relevant location.
  • Experience of making technical and commercial offers for various procurements and services is required.
  • Leading the day-to-day procurement activities, while focusing on the tactical level, is essential.
  • Handling domain topics with vendors, including managing the quality of deliverables, complaints, etc.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating complex software agreements is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all software procurement and contracting activities.
  • Work closely with all units to understand their needs from procurement.
  • Develop expert knowledge in the relevant procurement category center and work to implement the global category strategy and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals.
  • Perform due diligence at new potential suppliers and pre-qualify them before initiating a business relationship.
  • Lead the supplier selection processes (CBA).
  • Own and conclude the appropriate legal procurement agreements.
  • Provide periodic reporting for management on procurement activities and savings.
  • Act as the owner of the entire P2P process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in procurement, preferably as a leading software procurement specialist.
  • Ability to execute and achieve the procurement strategy within the relevant location.
