Job Description

The successful candidate will lead a team of AWS professionals, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architecting scalable AWS solutions, and implementing data engineering projects using AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Athena, and Redshift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of AWS professionals, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable AWS architectures.
  • Architect, design, and implement AWS solutions using best practices and industry standards.
  • Implement data engineering projects, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analysis, leveraging AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Athena, and Redshift.
  • Contribute to the development of data products, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data visualization solutions, utilizing Python programming language.
  • Familiarity with other cloud services like Azure, and ability to leverage cross-cloud solutions where appropriate.
  • Perform cost analysis and optimization to ensure efficient utilization of AWS resources.
  • Establish and maintain governance, security, and compliance standards within AWS environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of AWS solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need over 10 years of hands-on experience in architecting, designing, and implementing AWS solutions. Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of leading teams of 5 or more members are essential. Experience with other cloud services like Azure, along with proficiency in Python programming language, implementing data engineering projects, and contributing to the development of data products, will be beneficial for this role.
