Job Summary:

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Category Sourcing Manager to lead the Real Estate and Facility Management (REFM) and Corporate Services sourcing efforts. This role will be responsible for managing the category spend, providing leadership support to the Professional Services category, and developing the sourcing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the REFM and Corporate Services sourcing team in managing the category spend and developing the sourcing strategy.
  • Provides leadership support to the Professional Services category and ensures alignment with the global sourcing strategy.
  • Develops and implements sourcing methodologies that align with the organization's global and regional strategy.
  • Responsible for the holistic commercial strategy for key negotiations, including demand assessment, deal negotiations, and implementation planning.
  • Maintains broad knowledge of the REFM and Corporate Services category and sourcing needs specific to different regions.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with global business leaders and senior stakeholders to ensure category-specific sourcing needs are met and managed in accordance with global sourcing policies.

Requirements:

  • Must have + years of in-depth sourcing knowledge and experience in REFM and Corporate Services, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and end-to-end execution.
  • Must have strong experience in managing contract life cycle management, including RFX planning, negotiation, contract drafting, and negotiation.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of third-party risk assessment and management to identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities associated with third-party contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example and embody the values and culture of the organization.
