
SME Business Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled Relationship Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and building a well-diversified portfolio within the IBG 4 segment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven sales track record in asset business in the SME/Business Banking segment and a strong understanding of the market and its trends.
- To acquire and build a diversified portfolio within the IBG 4 segment, providing revenue from diverse sources such as assets, trade, cash, treasury, and fees.
- Deliver results in accordance with the lending guidelines prescribed by the bank.
Key Accountabilities:
- Source new to bank asset relationships within the IBG 4 segment, including companies ranging from INR 25 crores to 600 crores.
- Earn a good net interest income and fee across the portfolio, as well as regular revenue streams through cross-selling of trade, liabilities, cash, treasury, and fee products.
- Play an instrumental role in increasing the profitability of the business.
- Ensure proper monitoring of the portfolio and maintain delinquencies at zero.
- Implement and execute the IBG 4 business strategy to increase market share and achieve targets consistent with the top-line and bottom-line targets.
- Build brand value and enhance the network in the location through various marketing activities, collaborations, and events.
- Comply with the bank's processes and policies and ensure positive ratings during all country/group audits.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Source new to bank asset relationships within the IBG 4 segment, ensuring sanction and disbursement of the same in liaison with customer, risk, and operations teams.
- Cross-sell liability, trade, cash, and treasury products actively.
- Achieve individual budgeted revenues through all product parameters.
- Conduct proper due diligence while onboarding new assets.
- Onboard clients with a clear account plan highlighting revenue potential, risks, and mitigants.
- Adhere to strict KYC/AML requirements.
- Provide MIS to the central team for further reporting within stipulated guidelines.
- Complete timely learning programs assigned by the bank.
- Comply with the bank's processes and policies.
- Maintain relationships with local business stakeholders, including existing and prospective clients, market leaders, CAs, influencers, and industry associations to stay updated on current market practices and local intelligence.
- Report material information around business opportunities and industry/customer risk to senior functional management at regular intervals.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience in sales.
- 2-3 years of sales experience in SME/business banking lending.
- Proven sales track record in asset business in the SME/business banking segment.
- Knowledge of competitors and the market place.
- Market knowledge and experience in the SME segment, with reference to customer preferences and requirements.
