Role Overview:

SME Credit Check is seeking an experienced and strategic 
Chief Credit Officer
 to lead our credit risk management, policy development, and credit operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing credit risk, managing lending portfolios, and ensuring regulatory compliance to support our SME-focused credit services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee credit risk assessment and portfolio management for SME clients.
  • Develop and enforce credit policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
  • Lead credit underwriting, loan approval, and monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align credit strategy with company goals.
  • Manage the credit team to enhance skills and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years in credit management, preferably with SME or commercial lending experience.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk, regulatory requirements, and financial analysis.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

Essential Qualification:

  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Deep understanding of industry regulations governing credit and risk.
  • Competence with financial software, credit scoring systems, and market trend analysis tools.
