Position Summary
ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Sales and Account Development Manager to grow the distribution-led retail business in Vapi and surrounding cities, in collaboration with channel partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all retail sales operations in the assigned territory, including driving revenue growth, collecting payments from channel partners, and monitoring key accounts.
- Meet or exceed revenue objectives for ENOX Retail business in the assigned territory
- Review and analyze the performance of existing distribution channels, identifying areas for improvement and sharing findings with the manager
- Proactively identify new channel partners to expand reach and counter presence
- Develop and execute a strategy to generate demand for all product categories through targeted activations in the retail market
- Identify key influencers such as carpenters, local contractors, architects, and builders, and establish regular engagement through product training, meetings, and other activities
- Support working capital management by ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments
- Develop promotional activities to enhance brand visibility
- Organize structured sessions to ensure product knowledge is shared with all stakeholders of channel partners
- Increase secondary sales by ensuring counter presence, territory reach, and product visibility in areas frequently visited by end customers
- Conduct continuous market analysis and provide insights to support forecasts and budgeting
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with the retail business, preferably in the building materials industry
- Understanding of the architect and contractor base in Vapi
- Ability to maintain a strong work ethic and time discipline
- Excellent communication skills, including phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Responsive, organized, and energetic, with a high level of integrity and ownership of responsibilities
- Drive for results and execution excellence, with a focus on delivering outcomes and following up with stakeholders
- Ability to develop partnerships, keep stakeholders informed, and manage multiple projects and activities
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Education and Experience
- Graduate degree in a technical field or engineering, with a postgraduate degree in management being an added advantage
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience, preferably in the building materials industry
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory to drive business growth
