**Job Overview**

At Waters Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Application Specialist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with our cutting-edge product suite, providing exceptional service to our customers and driving business growth.

**About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with a strong background in installation, performance maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of scientific instrumentation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the scientific application workflow and scientific software systems, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

**Responsibilities**

As a Scientific Application Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Installation, performance maintenance, and troubleshooting of our product suite (LC, HPLC/UPLC)
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external and internal customers, ensuring their success and satisfaction
  • Managing customer expectations by communicating work performed and providing follow-up plans as needed
  • Ensuring customer compliance with regulations
  • Delivering system-level training at customer sites
  • Managing service inventory according to company policies
  • Issuing field service reports daily to document work performed
  • Maintaining a sound knowledge of the technology and customers' application demands
  • Collaborating with the Sales team to identify future business development opportunities and needs for service contract sales
  • Ensuring adherence to quality system procedures and Health & Safety standards at all times

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience with installation, performance maintenance, troubleshooting, support, and/or end-user utilization of scientific instrumentation
  • A strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and a personal sense of integrity
  • The ability to perform effective system-level troubleshooting, with a strong analytical mindset and drive to resolve open issues

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Travel Requirements

This is a territory-based position, requiring travel within your designated territory, with occasional international travel for governance, meetings, and training.
