Job Overview

This role is centered on implementing a comprehensive annual fundraising plan, establishing key relationships to secure revenue for the organization's philanthropic endeavors. You will collaborate closely with the India Leader and members of thematic teams to develop a pipeline of support from various sources.

The ideal candidate will be able to establish a network of diverse donor support, working with individuals, foundations, corporates, and other funding entities. This involves interfacing regularly with the Founder to advance the organization's vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a roadmap and strategy for the organization's fundraising efforts, outlining clear objectives based on shared outcomes.
  • Develop a national network of supporters, strengthening existing connections while adding new champions and donors.
  • Build a diversified portfolio approach to fund raising, ensuring effective distribution across different types of sources.
  • Proactively execute multiple aspects of the plan, engaging high net worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and other relevant entities.
  • Work collaboratively with Foundation Leaders to implement an efficient fund channelization process, along with measurable criteria for determining net value added in targeted areas.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and outlooks, ensuring operating designs are simple, relevant, and practical in terms of measurable impact.
  • Utilize understanding of leading-edge philanthropic pipelines and cause-related marketing management to drive related funding endeavors across different thematic areas.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Business, Social Sciences, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in direct fundraising and partnership roles, including at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Experience in the social or development sector would be preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, comfortable with the ambiguity of the fundraising universe.
  • Highly organized project management skills, interpersonal skills, and executive presence, with the ability to establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise.
  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and time-zones.
  • Adaptable with a penchant for innovation, a keen eye for emergent trends, and a willingness to learn on the fly.
