Portfolio Management Specialist

As a Portfolio Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization's credit underwriting and monitoring initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in risk management, with expertise in developing and implementing underwriting policies that align with our company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze underwriting models and validate their performance on current portfolios.
  2. Determine performance benchmarks and identify areas for improvement to minimize risk exposure.
  3. Develop pricing strategies based on segmentation and market trends.
  4. Standardize policies and processes across the organization to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  5. Monitor portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds to inform data-driven decision making.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Analyze portfolios and recommend policy changes to senior leadership based on analysis outcomes.
  • Conduct periodic credit reviews of existing portfolios and perform analyses to identify high-risk segments.
  • Mitigate risks identified based on portfolio performance and monitor delinquent accounts to ensure achievement of company standards or benchmark for delinquency.
  • Identify technological solutions to improve existing processes and overall portfolio management functions.
  • Analyze MIS to monitor portfolio performance and risk, and provide insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Statistics, or Management from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management and policy creation, with 3-4 years in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with internal functions and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets using different data processing and statistical tools.
  • Proficient in Data Analytics, Model Validation, Policy Formulation, Portfolio Management, Stake Holder Management, Project Management.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in R/Python, SQL, Advanced Excel, and other relevant software applications.
