Director of Product Marketing Job Summary

Ohmium is seeking a seasoned Product Marketing Director to spearhead the strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives for our electrolyzer products. This role requires a results-driven individual with expertise in product positioning, market research, and campaign management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Marketing Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive product marketing strategy to effectively position Ohmium's electrolyzer products in the market. Define target applications and markets, identify key accounts and projects, and craft product positioning and messaging.
  • Market and Competitive Research: Conduct thorough research to understand customer pain points and needs across different regions and market segments. Analyze competitive dynamics, including product offerings and market positioning.
  • Product Market Evolution: Utilize research insights to evaluate and refine Ohmium's product positioning and marketing tactics, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer requirements.
  • Product Launches and Campaigns: Lead the planning and execution of product launches and marketing campaigns. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and external agencies to create compelling launch materials and ensure successful product introductions.
  • Collateral and Content Development: Develop and oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, datasheets, sales presentations, technical specifications, and case studies. Ensure all content is accurate and tailored to customer needs.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with essential knowledge and tools to effectively market and sell Ohmium's products. This includes developing training materials, conducting competitive product analyses, and sharing customer insights.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track market feedback and the effectiveness of product marketing strategies. Use this data to make informed decisions and continuously improve marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Management or equivalent required.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 12-15+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager.
  • Experience working directly with R&D/Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions required.
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy sector a plus.
