Job Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide top-notch production support services for Payment Applications.

This involves delivering end-to-end production services, ensuring timely releases, and maintaining operational quality of IT systems.

As an Application Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving incidents in QA and Prod, providing support to the Payments Tribe, and collaborating with the squad Scrum Master to escalate incidents when necessary.

  • Resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of Payment Applications
  • Providing expert-level support for Linux, Oracle/SQL, and other technologies

Additionally, this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.

Requirements

For this role, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in production support or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Oracle/SQL, and other relevant technologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of Mainframe: z/OS, DB2, SQL, SPUFI, TSO/ISPF, JCL, Cobol
  • Experience with Unix/Linux scripting (PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of MQ Series, distributed scheduling (CTRL-M), and deployment of business applications
  • Agile methodology experience
Education

A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required for this role.
