Business Leader Opportunity

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and managing all day-to-day sales activities, focusing on building long-term value-based customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives.

Candidate Profile Requirements
  • Education: A degree from an accredited university in a business-related field such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Hotel and Restaurant Management.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 1 year of experience in sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Developing and Executing Sales Strategies:
  • Work with the sales leader to ensure understanding and effective implementation of the sales strategy for the segment.
  • Collaborate with the management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers, and market goals for the segment led by the DOS.
Maximizing Revenue Potential:
  • Provide positive and aggressive leadership to maximize revenue potential.
  • Recommend booking goals for sales team members.
Managing Sales Activities:
  • Monitor all day-to-day activities of direct reports.
  • Approve space releases for catering to maximize revenue.
Analyzing and Reporting on Sales and Financial Data:
  • Analyze market information using sales systems and implement strategies to achieve property financial room and catering goals.
  • Assist Revenue Management with completing accurate six-period projections.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service:
  • Display leadership in guest hospitality and exemplify customer service to create a positive example for guest relations.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
Building Successful Relationships:
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure the property needs are being met and sales efforts are complementary not duplicative.
Managing Human Resource Activities:
  • Interview and hire management and hourly employees with the appropriate skills to meet business needs.
  • Utilize available on-the-job training tools for employees.
